Squirrel

Squirrels are the worst nuisance offender in New Jersey!

Grey Squirrels are sometimes considered pests because of their propensity to chew on both edible
and inedible objects. This characteristic trait aids in maintaining sharp teeth, and because their teeth
grow continuously, prevents over-growth. Homeowners in areas with a heavy squirrel population           must  keep attics and basements carefully sealed to prevent property damage caused by nesting squirrels.

In New Jersey, squirrels typically give birth to two litters per year with the first cycle occurring from the end of August to the beginning of October, and the second cycle spanning from the end of January to the beginning of March. The average litter will have 3 to 6 baby squirrels.

While squirrels tend to make leaf houses in the trees during the summer months (leaving human homes), they will move back into residences as the weather cools.

As opposed to our competitors, Fischer Wildlife Control & Repairs looks for clues to provide important information into the population of squirrels that we need to trap. When we catch a squirrel we assess to see if it is a nursing female, an intact adult male, or other such category to determine whether your home may contain a nest of babies, a bachelor colony, or an alpha male, for example.

We know that adult male squirrels, for example, will kill baby squirrels. An adult female pregnant squirrel will often be the solitary squirrel that has taken residence; whereas one who is nursing will have a litter to trap as well.

These questions need to be answered in order to solve your squirrel problem.
And Fischer Wildlife Control & Repairs is the company that looks for every clue!

Once we've removed the squirrels from your home we make proper repairs on the opening (or openings) that allowed the squirrels to move in.  We'll go around the structure re-strengthening and sealing up any weak areas such as gable vents, attic fans, roof vents, gaps between fascia board and sheathing, openings behind pork chops, and roof/soffit tangent points. These are common entry points that squirrels use to enter structures.

We do this because we don't just remove the existing squirrels. More importanly, we provide a 1 year written warranty against new squirrels gaining access to the building. And at the end of the year we will contact you to offer a warranty renewal (similar to a termite-control contract).

Fischer Wildlife Control & Repairs can rid your home or business
of many other nuisance wildlife animals as well.

Grey Squirrels

Grey Squirrels are generally clever and
persistent animals. In residential neighborhoods,
they are notorious for eating out of bird feeders,
digging in potted plants to bury or recover
seeds, and inhabiting sheltered areas including
attics and basements. Although expert climbers,
squirrels also thrive in urban environments that
are largely free of trees
